These terms cover BN-games' games — Chess, Long Backgammon, Checkers, Dominoes, Sudoku, and Mahjong — on the web, on iOS and Android, and as Discord Activities. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the games.
Who can use BN-games
Anonymous play has no minimum age. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, you must meet that provider's own minimum-age requirement to hold an account there — currently 13 for both.
The service
BN-games is provided free of charge. Sign-in is optional and only unlocks a verified name and avatar in online rooms — every game is fully playable anonymously. We may add, change, or remove features, games, or online availability at any time, including taking the service down temporarily or permanently, without notice.
Accounts
If you sign in, you're responsible for the Google or GitHub account you use to do so. Don't impersonate someone else or choose a handle that's abusive, misleading, or infringes someone's rights. We may suspend or terminate access for handles or accounts that violate this.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the games, the online servers, or other players' sessions.
- Use automation, bots, or exploits to cheat in online matches or manipulate provably-fair randomness.
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or in a way that harasses or harms other players.
Third-party services
Sign-in uses Google and GitHub OAuth; playing via Discord uses Discord's Activities SDK. Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms — these terms only cover BN-games itself. See our Privacy Policy for how sign-in and Discord data are handled.
Intellectual property
The BN-games code, design, and branding belong to their author. The underlying games — chess, backgammon, checkers, dominoes, sudoku, and mahjong — are traditional games in the public domain; our implementations of them are not.
No warranty
BN-games is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time — it runs partly on free-tier infrastructure that can be slow to wake up or occasionally unavailable.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BN-games and its author aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of BN-games after a change means you accept the updated terms.
